About the Show
A show for the whole family, the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show is New Zealand’s longest running and most popular boating expo.

First run over 55 years ago, the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show today features New Zealand’s widest range of boats, engines, electronics and marine accessories.

Each year, New Zealand’s top boatbuilders choose to release their new models for the first time at the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show. The same goes for the importers and distributors of new outboards, electronics and fishing and dive equipment.
Demand for space at the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show is intense. That’s not surprising as the show is a great place to do business, attracting around 30,000 visitors and generating many millions of dollars in sales.
The show is also a great to place to spend a day with the family. There are at least three pools (one of them heated) and literally dozens of great demonstrations and activities. These include fishing competitions and colouring contests for the kids; wakeboarding, windsurfing and life-saving demonstrations; model yachts (come and have a go) and super-fast miniature speedboats.
The Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show is also the country’s largest and most popular fishing show. Home to New Zealand’s largest fishing supermarket, there is a simply massive display of rods, reels and all manner of fishing equipment on display; much of it at special show-only prices. Many of New Zealand’s top fishing gurus are on hand, too; happy to share their experiences and offer advice about how to improve your fishing.
